Circular saws can be used to cut lots of different materials. But it's important that you select the right blade for the job.

Below are five blades, all 7 ¼ inch in diameter. The number in the middle of each blade refers to the number of teeth.

Underneath the blades are five different tasks that need to be undertaken.

See if you can match up the best blade for each job by clicking on the blade first and then the type of job it is most suitable for.

As you match up each pair, think about how the design and number of teeth will affect the way that blade cuts, and why it is the best choice for that specific job.
